I'm looking into d'anvers now

I had a D' Anver rooster, mean as the devil himself! (Unless you were holding him, then he was fine. But he was also a nervous rooster, as he would constantly shiver, so I think that provoked him aggression even more. (If you can't be guaranteed a pullet, then I would say no to those.

(But please, understand this is my opinion and experience, so I don't want to spark any wildfires)

Elsa, again, spread out blocking the coop entry, growling if anyone came near her.. i finally got a Towel to cover and pick her up with. What was she doing? Sitting on another D'uccle egg! i don't think i can handle anymore broody business. She will have to be my only cochin.

Oh.. tried to get polish chick pics.. not going to happen, they fly way too well and are all over the place. But, i did confirm tiny little wattles turning pink on the one that was pecking me and scratching me!

Hey. As some of you know, my only female polish died yesterday. Since I'll have to rehome the other roosters, I will end up without any polish in my flock.
I will be hatching some polish in memory of my dear Basil. But I will still be hatching d'uccles/cochins (whatever I get) as well.

I think the best you can do is buy more eggs.. just keep moving, stay busy, keep your mind on other things. There's nothing that makes the pain go away otherwise, just have to distract yourself ❤
