0 results on ebay :( hopefully there will be some eggs for sale when I am plannimg to hatch some. Otherwise I'll have to get cochins
Ok.. so my pseudo-daily-broody cochin FINALLY got up.. because she was hungry. Had been sitting since yesterday afternoon, overnight, and through this morning... only to see she was laying on a D'uccle egg. Then she goes down to eat, and lays an egg next to the feeder 😆 she is so complicated! I think she needs another cochin though.. then they can just sit in a nest box together all day!

Cochins look like fluffy footballs lol I think they will be my plan B. They are a slightly smaller size to Kiwi.
Can they fly well? I kinda want a parrot chicken since my silkies can't get onto my shoulders.
They can fly, but more of a bumbling flight.. nothing compared to your typical flying chicken types.

Hey check out this article.. it says there aren't bantam cochins in the u.k. is that accurate? It also says bantam cochins are way more aggressive than larger cochins! Based on my limited experience, i have to agree.

That's weird! There are definitely bantam cochins here, they're all over ebay (over 10 results). Based on what Emma and Fluffy said, I thought cochins are nice.

@CrazyCochin I'm guessing you have cochins... Are they friendly?
(I have the bantam variety)
Yes, they are, mine dont get handled, as in cuddled much, but they were sweet as chicks, especially Holly. But I am sure if you give them constant attention, work with them, and feed them, they should be great lap companions!:D

(But, they do go broody OFTEN, in fact, they brood more than they lay, as they sit on their fluffy rumps for 3 or more weeks.....🙄) (However, they do seem to lay well when not brooding)
