Im getting jealous!!! mine are suppose to hatch Fri Sat those are day 20 and 21 for me...LOL so im getting all excited seeing your babies I cant wait for mine...Im a first time chickie momma lol...

this was my first time incubating too but I have had chickens sense I could remember

That's my little boy he couldn't wait to put them in the brooder he loves watching them run around. Every time one hatched he would run to his dad and say " DAD YOUR NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS" then he would run back to the bator and say "GOOD JOB BABY"

He just turned 4 this past January. He is a hand full don't let that cute face foul ya...lol We just got our piglets for the year and by the end of the day he is dirtier then them.always getting into something.

well all but four hatched not sure why I candled them and no movement I'm assuming that they didn't make it but i'll let them go for the night and do eggtopsy

if they still have not pipped or hatched.

still I think 20 out of 24 was good for my first time.

I also snatch my babies out of the bator before the hatch is done, if things are taking a while.

Here are the pics with all my chicks

the first 2 I had the brooder light on but it was really hard to see them



So I shut the brooder light off for just a moment to snap some quick pics



Now its hard to see some of the chicks cause they blend into the wood shavings...lol for example


then I had some that wanted to huddle next to each other making them look like one big chick

I did put some of my BLRW in with them cause I don't like to dip the beaks in the water so I let the big kids show the little kids how its done



Can you find the yellow chick? lol

I called my dad and he came over to see his chicks and was like Wow you actually hatched them.
I was like Thanks for keeping the faith dad. He said I'm just kidding I knew you could do it. what a butt...lol
