what to do on day 18 (eggs lay flat or in cartons?) *Eggtopsy* *Graphic*

Ok so I have 10 pips and as I was watching my other pips one egg that I had never seen move and thought was not alive when I candle at 18 piped right in front of me!!!!!

So I was looking at it thinking well now it will probably rest like the rest that have piped BUT NOOOO!!!! it zipped and popped right out of the shell. I'm Amazed...lol

LMAO The bator I have, I actually "borrowed" from my sister a few months ago and after the second hatch was so successful and we decided to start raising our own chickens, (we've got eggs from her for the last few year,) I told her she probably wouldn't see the bator ever again, but if she wanted chicks hatched just let me know and I would hatch them for her...lol They are actually talking about getting out of raising chicks and just keeping a handful for eggs just for the family. ATM they have somewhere around 100 chickens of ALL varieties...lol

So the first chick piped at 7 am after that they all were about half hour apart. only speedy came out so far
