What to do with all my eggs??

Just curious, why did you decide to get chickens in the first place? Everybody I know initially get them because they like the idea of fresh pasture eggs. I completely understand why you'd want to keep the girls, but why did you get the first chicks?

Well i really just got them for pets, i love them a lot. They are very interesting, i wish i ate eggs.

We sometimes get many more eggs than we can eat or give to friends. I called my local city government office and they hooked me up with a woman who feeds the homeless. She is thrilled to have fresh eggs!

My father grew up on a farm in the midwest and he tells of how they regularly fed the eggs back to the chickens. I believe they used to boil them and then crumble them up. They also love the eggshells.

I give 12 dozen a week to the local food bank.

I personally loath eggs whites, but love deviled eggs, now i have no quilt in throwing the whites to the dogs.

If you can't find anyone to take those eggs off your hands definitely cook them up and feed them back to your girls. They would greatly appreciate the effort!
