When the chickens started free ranginging, I bought a big bag of scratch to use to get them to come to me. Problem is - they don't like it. Totally not interested. (I ended up switching to meal worms which they love. But now I have two problems. 1st. What do I do with this big bag? Ideas? And 2nd, I scattered a bunch on the ground and while it's just sitting there now - I'm terrified that it's going to get that poisonous mold stuff and then the chickens will decide to finally try it. Any thoughts on that? Should I try to go out there and get it? It must be horrible - since the wild birds haven't eaten it either (but I am assuming the wild birds are more interested in my blueberries, blackberries and raspberries at the moment. :(

You could see if any other chicken owners near you might want it. Or you could compost it.
