What to do with mama hen after baby dies?

Says straight run buff orpingtons along with buff orps and easter egger pullets 3 week old. Might ring him up and get 2 or 3.

I just locked up the coop and she's already back to roosting with the others. Is that a sign of her getting over the broodiness?

Yep. When my hens have lost chicks or had them removed they walked around puffed up, clucking and pacing the fence for 2-3 days then recovered and got on with their life.
They don't have the same kind of emotional feeling that we do when we lose a child.

Can I have my hen hach them out and then sell them will my hen be okay.

Okay, then I'll scrap the plans for tomorrow. I know I was anthromorphizing her calling out for this baby and she'd get over it soon enough. The baby turned 3 weeks on Monday so she was going to start pushing it away soon regardless. I just think about how the poor thing died.
