What to do with Roosters?

Get on facebook and find some local groups by interest - chicken keepers, agriculture, yard sale, etc. You'll reach more people that way. And list the cockerels for free. Beggars aren't choosers, so you have to be okay with the idea that they will potentially be butchered. You can't control what happens to them either way, you just need them gone.

Yeah we've lowed the price to $1 and are trying to "sell" them as a pair (i.e. one cockerel and a pullet). We have someone interested in one of them, and for now we only need to get rid of one who has become a pain recently. Not saying we plan to keep the rest, but still.
As for butchering I understand it's apart of owning chickens. I get that its highly likely that when we give away a bird that bird will become food. I enjoy hunting, and today I ate a steak from a cow I watched grow up from a calf. I eat everything from pork to chicken; and I know where my food comes from. However, I prefer to not send them straight to the slaughter house if possible. As for people coming to get them, I just ask that they don't tell me.

Its looking hopeful that we'll be getting rid of them soon. With all the sites yall have been telling me about the internet is being flooded with pictures of our birds. Like I said in a previous post we have one who needs to be gone ASAP, and it looks like we have someone interested. Hoping we can get rid of the rest soon!
