I would leave her there, does the nest box have a lip on it ? if not I would put a 4 inch flat piece of board across it to keep the chicks in better. they will stay close to mom for a few days with out to much worry, but then I would crate her on the ground she she and her chicks can come and go with out worrying about them falling .
