So around my area there are heaps of pigeons! There is this one near my chicken coop and it looks sick. I tried moving it (not with hands) but it won’t even fly away. Will it be harmful to my chickens if it stays and what is it sick with and how to get ’rid’ of it? It’s wild but still an animal.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

If you can, push it into a bucket or wire cage (one that you can disinfect or throw away later) that has some straw or other bedding in it. Put a little food and water in the cage (preferably in disposable containers) and take the cage away from your animals until you decide what to do with the bird. I know that wild pigeons come in many colors but that doesn't look like a normal wild pigeon color so just try to glance at it's legs to check for a band. Make sure to disinfect anything that you touched it with since you don't know what's wrong with it.
@backyard pigeons ? I don't really know a whole lot of pigeon people to help you.

I’ll try to help it and thank you for your advice. I’ve seen this particular pigeon around for a while now and it doesn’t have a leg band. Colours in my area range from white, brown, black, grey and mixtures of all those colours.

If he's looking really sick you might want to consider calling a wildlife rescue place. Might seem like overkill to call for something as common as a pigeon but...it's a life, you know?
Yes that would be great to but at this point I'm not sure if it's to late or not. It's still worth a try though and a wildlife rescue place knows more than random people on BYC.
