So I have some 3 day old chicks and they keep getting poo stuck on their fluffy lil butts. I don't think it's pasty butt because it's not on their vents it's below on their fluffy plumage. Should I continue to wash it off or just let it be? There is no blockage.

Clean it off and put a light coating of cooking oil or Vaseline on the feathers there to keep the poop from sticking.

What is the temperature and size of your brooder...how many chicks?

Too hot temps and crowding can case health problems such as pasty poops.

Be sure there is enough liter/bedding incase they are laying in it. Putting low perches will help as they age, many of mine will start sitting on perches in 1-2 weeks.
