what to feed a mix flock of rescue chickens and roosters

Welcome to BYC Charles!

I'd recommend Flock raiser + calcium on the side. The flock raiser will have a higher protein content which is good in general and laying hens will naturally peck at the calcium as desired. If you fed layer feed, it would commonly have a minimal protein content and the extra calcium could be harmful to non-layers.

I suggest Alflock. It is comparable to the products the previous posters stated. Each company will call their product slightly different. That is what I use since I have laying and non laying chickens. Have oyster shells free choice as well.
WISHING YOU BEST.and......:welcome

X3 (or possibly four or five or six or seven), with one qualifier--are your rescue chickens molting or skinny? Molting means extra protein and vitamins could be added for your flock's benefit, skinny means you might want to add some corn.

If they're already healthy, then disregard and good luck.
