Chickiebooboo maybe in your part of Canada your medicated starter is still deadly, Here it is fine. I too use a waterfowl starter(mazuri). JenniferK glad you got the WATERFOWL starter.
The only pellets we can get here made just for waterfowl are also Mazuri.(If I want any Mazuri products they have to be special ordered and exspensive) Plus dont have flock raiser here. All my adult birds get 16% Purina layer pellets (for chickens)except I splurge during the breeding season and use the 18% Mazuri breeder, Its all about where you live and more important WHAT you can get

I apologize if my post sounded harsh. It truly vvasn't meant to come off that vvay. I too vas told that and passed on that info vvhen I first got ducks too. Perhaps the medicatd feed in VVinnipeg still uses the old meds, But I think they may be illegal novv?? I can't remember. Truly it doesn't matter anyvvays! Sorry to side tract this post!
