What to feed???

I got a new gamecock what should I feed to keep him in good shape and keep shiny feathers. The guy I bought him from said corn and dog food ?

Corn and dog food sounds like a good way to get an unhealthy bird. No vitamins or minerals in that... corn is super fatty and dog food has way too much protein...

I'd say get him on a 18-20% Flock Raiser ration and use a pigeon feed instead of scratch as a treat. That keeps my games in great condition.
