We have 6 chicks , aprox. 5 weeks old. Is it OK to give them so e vegetables along with their scratch, and which veggies are not good for them?

Yes, they can have vegetables, but they must have grit supplemented for anything besides their regular chick starter or flock raiser that you're giving them. Grit grinds up their food inside their gizzard - it's like teeth. You can offer it in a dish beside their food or sprinkle it on top.

Here's a helpful list of chicken treats. Chickens can have most vegetables, but check the bottom of the article for what they can't have:

Scratch? They should be on chick starter or starter grower at least 18% protein, not scratch.

x2. Do you have them on chick feed and scratch is just a treat, or...?

I would minimize treats on chicks, as they're so small it's easy to fill them up on treats instead of feed that's formulated for optimal development.
