Hi, My chicks are 5 weeks old today! Happy birthday to my babies!!! [IMG] I have been feeding my vaccinated chicks organic chick starter, grit, and some treats too.

They are Cochin bantams and are just going to be for fun to raise and care for. If they lay some eggs that's fine, and there are a mix of pullets and roos, so when should I change their feed from starter and what kind of feed should I give them?

    Thanks!

I'm just getting started myself and the starter feed I bought says at 10 weeks you should change to grower formula and at 18 should go to layer formula.[IMG]

read the package on the feed you are using, mine is starter/grower so I am good to go until I switch to layer

when they're around 10 weeks old, you can switch to a grew/finisher if you want, but the starter should be alright!

around 14-18 weeks you can mix in a little layer feed if you want!
