What to fill my duck run with? And progress pics

With mine I put dirt, rocks, turf, then hay. Ducks are messy and do poop a lot so you want to be able to clean their cage easily. I recommend rolling the turf out, watering it down, putting it back in with fresh hay ontop.

Oh yes I know how messy they are
The run is 9×16 pretty large area to be rolling out turf but I like the idea.

I like the idea of filling the area with copper heads, skunks, possums and spiders......

how about woodchips as a drainage and dirt afterwords on top ? should be good as your ducks mix it up because otherwise with rocks my guess is they'd soon sit on rocks instead of dirt , woodchips break down and form compost as in great soil and they find always a lot of little things we can't even see in there , so you actually just get clean soil as a result of them using the area .. ( but I dont have ducks but I do want to have them , they're pretty and I think they're funny )

Have you applied for help from "DuxAnonymous" . Beings you do not yet have them, I think you would only need 6 of the 12 steps....







Turkey feathers would help improve the neighborhood....
