What to grow???

I want to plant some easy growing herbs/veg/plants etc just for the hens.. I let them free range every day for a bit.. and was wandering if theres any particular plant or herb they would love as a treat..... Any suggestions?? I live in the middle of Indiana... and prefer perennials if possible. THANKS!

For perennials......that will be tougher for me to help with. I do grow several but those are for the humans.

I plant extra swiss chard (which may or may not survive the winter) I have had the kind with white stems come back but not the colored stems.

Things I plant ONE extra plant just for the birds.....
Summer squash, zucchini, cucumber, and pumpkin.

Sunflowers are fun to grow and the birds love them IF you can beat the squirrels to them.

My chickens most favorite veggie was beets, tops & the beets itself. They loved all my perennials way too much, to the point of destruction

Mine decimated the sugar snaps and green beans we planted. They love to eat watermelon too.
