I'll be getting 5 wyandotte chicks(hopefully all pullets)on tuesday. I ordered them from my local feed store and not through the mail, though i suppose they get them that way, who knows. Anyway I bought everything I needed for their brooder today including a vitamin/electrolyte power for their water and was wondering is this stuff any good, do I need it, and are their other things you should add to their water that might be better now or as they get a bit older? If you all have any suggestions I'd really appreciate it and whether or not to combine any of the things suggested since I'm a newbie and still learning the ropes...actually I haven't even seen the ropes, lol

The vitamin/electrolyte stuff is not necessary, but it is good for them. Some folks just use a little sugar, some use a bit of ACV for worm prevention, some use antibiotics etc. etc. etc. I think you'll do just fine

I'd start them out on it at the very least since they are coming via feed store bin which is through the mail. After travelling they could use the boost for sure. Good luck!

Thanks!! I hoped it would be enough, since that was all they had at the feed store.. Still a little nervous about this, mainly because my children are soooo looking forward to it and I'm praying they all turn out to be healthy when we get them so I'm a little desperate not to miss anything that might help the little peeps out

Just relax, it's going to be fun! If you run across any issues just post to the board. there is always someone who will help out
