What to use for feed

Thank you. I will have to check those out!
I really like the gamma lid containers, the brand name is Vittles Vault. We also use them for grubs, scratch, oyster shell, and barn lime. They're outdoors under a tarp and the inside stays dry in torrential rain. We use the same containers in the house for dog kibble and rice.

We use metal garbage cans for feed storage and the Premier hanging yellow feeder for their food.

And it's grubby in there, so true. Many of the birds roost in the rafters, and poop over those feeders. So, one has a bird feeder cover, and the other has an upside down water dish over it, to keep the poo out of the feeder.
And the sloped cover over the nest boxes isn't sloped enough, they sit and poop on it...

Clever!

Also, thank you for posting a photo of a real coop. Ours gets grubby, too. Chickens live there! Seems like the only photos I see are of pristine coops and runs. 🤷‍♀️
