Again since you didn't read my response in the other thread apparently. Ivermectin is not, definitely absolutely not, the same thing in revolution. Ivermec is also just a brand name. Revolution is salemectin a related chemical but entirely different with different dosages, different side effects, different margin of error, etc... than ivermectin. Stop spreading misinformation and at least do a google search if nothing else. Ivermectin also only lasts up to 10days while revolution, advantage, frontline will all work for a month and while generally it's safer ivermectin should not be used on certain dog breeds because of an extreme sensitivity. You should also be careful using it with cats for the same reason. Plenty of people on farms have killed their cats by thinking they could just give them a little of the ivermectin products they use on everything else. Livestock, lots of small animals, and humans are very tolerant of ivermectin but some breeds of dog (mostly herding breeds) and cats are not.
I would definitely not put revolution on puppies and probably wouldn't on the mother just because it does have a slightly higher chance of side effects and you can't be as loose with the dosage when compared to plain frontline or advantage. I would not use the advantage multi with moxidectin on anything living but plain advantage on the mom would be fine. A call to your vet would be a good idea. Whether frontline or advantage works better depends on your area. In areas of the country where one was more popular the pests have started to become resistent and those areas are having to switch to the other. Our vets recently went from using advantage all the time for years to frontline. Everyone had advantage and now everyone has frontline. We had to hunt down cat advantage because one of ours throws up frontline. I use the frontline plus on our dogs though because I want to repel ticks and I don't want to touch advantage multi.
