Well that’s not true at all. That behavior has been seen in dogs, foxes, weasels, raccoons, orcas.. to name a few.
I agree that it is very unlikely to be the cat, although if it commonly takes down adult rabbits then it’s possible.

Don't forget about MS-13. For cat's sport killing is common, ALL cats do it.

Well, they were NOT roosted hens, they were in an open run, and based on the feathers there was plenty of "chase". Still not ruling out the rabbit killing calico.

Not sure if everyone will see this or not since its old but... i am convinced it is the CAT that killed my two girls. We have caught her on camera several times a little before dawn like she was waiting for the early bird. We have seen NOTHING else on either trail cam. Seems pretty convincing. I didn’t believe a cat would do it either, until
