What tools were most useful in building your coop?

Here are what we used most:

power drill~drilling holes and putting in screws
Screws~holding in wood
saw~cutting wood
Tape Measure~measuring wood
staple gun~ putting up chicken wire
and a level to make sure wood is straight.

i dont know if you count paint brushes as tools, but we used plenty of those, because we used oil based paints that are hard to get out of brushes, so we usually had to get a new one
 
I think jig saws are great first power saws. They are easy to handle and a great confidence builder.

I used my truck a LOT during my coop build. It was the ultimate portable workbench complete with music, tool storage when it rained, dog crate (he loves sleeping in it), seats, cup holder, bent nail trash can in the bed etc. I don't know how I ever drove 20 years without one.
