My cat left a half eaten mouse just outside the coop. My girls thought they died and gone to heaven. I'm a little grossed out but grateful that I don't have to clean up.

My nineteen birds got scratch candy, a cob of uncooked sweet corn and mouth watering cold watermelon wedges. Oh, and a few drowned bugs from the rain harvest barrels. [IMG]

Black soldier fly larva. I checked my compost bin today and found a bunch of the little wigglers. Scooped up a few wirh a trowel and put them in the treat bowl. Chickies looked a little puzzled at first, but discovered pretty quickly that they are GOOD!

Last weekend my girls got the evil brown beetles that are eating my pole beans, as well as some strawberries, overipe snap peas, acorn squash seeds, a banana and some dinner rolls. I'm spoiling them rotten now that they've started laying :)
