Did you cut them open length wise? My chickens love zucchinis and summer squash.

I chopped it up with the tomato. In a day or two they'll probably change their minds. I will try it just cut in half and see what happens.

Quick question, can chickens eat red beets? I know they're super healthy for us humans and even dogs.

I normally pull couple of red beets plants off our garden and just throw them in their run, they devour them and turned their droppings red

Yesterday they got half an angel food cake, some apple, and some canned pumpkin and whatever the boys might have snuck them lol

A chopped tomato with dill and thyme topped with a few dry oats and mealworms.
They eventually ate the zucchini I gave them the other day.

@3-4 wks old I normally introduced some treats at the same time giving them some chick grits for digestion but if you are in warmer climate and free ranging they're normally introduced by mom hen to a lot of goodies.
