I think the chickens are sick of me giving them apples.

I KNOW mine are..... and they are bored to death with their layer pellets..... let them out in the morning and they go straight to the grass...... ignoring the feeder ..... and the apples ...... and the wilted head of iceberg lettuce that' been hangin' around for a week ........

Mine got the same treat they get every day - pomegranate seeds.

But today, I stood over them while they gobbled them down. I had always thought they just swallowed them whole into their crop, but today I learned better. They squish every seed which I discovered as my feet got a pink shower of pomegranate juice.

My birds got what I think will be chicken caviar.
The wife pulled up a dead corn stalk and scored a mountain of cut worms.
