What treats from the fridge do you feed your chicks, roos and pullets?

I work as a cook at a restaurant, so my birdies are spoiled. They generally get things like romaine, grapes, carrot peels, cooked rice, various cheeses, and meats. I really think they'll eat anything, as long as I never pass out in the coop I'll be alright!

so weird, my chickens REFUSE to eat watermelon, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds... The only things they go gaga over is corn and bread! weird little chickens

Well I spoil mine rotten to the extent of shopping their friuts and veggies up then hand feed alot of them. They love corn! And I have been lucky that our local supermarket lets me take the corn husk Bags. There is always corn in them and my geese love the husks as do my horses. They also like Tomato's, carrot's, Apple's, Grapes, Lettuce, Melon of any kind. As long as it is all diced up and bite size they eat anything.
I would like to see that link on what not to fed them??

Mine love grapes, but won't touch lettuce or most green stuff like cooked peas or green beans (mine free range quite a bit, so I guess they feel that green stuff is no big deal

). I'll give them a bit of shredded cheese sometimes (they LOVE it), raisins, watermelon, pumpkins, yogurt, oatmeal (on cold mornings), etc. I have one silkie who'll eat banana...the rest just shake their heads like it's disgusting.

I also put broccoli in the cages you can by for suet and hang them around their run. You can put all sorts of things in it and it keeps them entertained for the day. I put bananas in these and they ate them up.

Ours eat almost everything we give them except grapes, they hate grapes and yogurt for some reason. Everyone I've talked to say they love yogurt, everybody's different though xD

My children can be picky so my chickens ( and dogs) get the "do not want" foods: old grapes, badly bruised apples, banana that fell on the floor, dried cheese, leftover chicken bones, etc.

But not lettuce!!! ANd we eat a LOT of lettuce--so I had to get Muscovies to eat the lettuce.

PS. Dog don't get grapes, raisens or chocolate nutella . THe chickens do!

Mine are crazy for anything green - alfalfa and clover sprouts at the moment, but also the fennel greens. Since my chicks are still small I chop it up small for them.

I still couldn't interest them in boiled eggs. They did however love the yogurt/rolled oats mix that I put out in their brooder yesterday. It's just messy and once they trampled the bedding in there they lost interest, so I needed to take it out and clean the bedding out before they continued eating it. Fussy, fussy, fussy....
