Munich during Oktoberfest. I want to go horseback riding through the Black Forest, followed by a full day in the Baden-baden spa. Then maybe another day. Then, you know, a special relaxation session
fur Stressvermeiden. Then mosey on up the Romantischestrasse and see some castles. Then hop a train through the Alps, stop off for some chocolate, and end up in Italy. Then take a Mediterranean cruise, hitting all the significant rest stops, ending in Cyprus. Stay with my inlaws for a few days, then catch a flight to Paris and eat some good food, drink some good wine. Then a stop in London to see Kew Gardens and the Tower. Then spend a couple of days in Devon, walking about, because you can do that there and no one shoots at you. Then go home.
Also would like a culinary tour of India. And a trip to Japan. And probably Beijing. And have a cruise on the Nile. And a cruise of the Scandinavian countries, ending up in Greenland, with some reindeer on the way.
None of this in the near future. As it is, work is so busy I'm only allowed to take my vacation days scattered throughout the year, and it becomes a major pain towards the end of the year when I haven't used them all.
DH wants to see the rest of America before we go anywhere else. He's only been as far west as Wisconsin, and next year our only vacation is going to be to New Orleans, where I'm going to spend the whole "vacation" at a conference, working.
