What Type Bobwhites Would Be Best?

Nope, you'll wake up to some dead birds and the bobwhites covered in blood staring up at oyu like nothing ever happened.

Here in michigan I like the Jumbo Wisconsins, they seem to do better during the winter over the the northerns. I've raised Butler, mex. specs., Tenn. Reds, jumbo wisconsins, and northern. I would for sure stay away from the butler!

Butlers will fly a few feet and then find somewhere to land. Northerns will fly off and fast.

DONT YOU BELIEVE IT. THERE'S A REASON WHY ALL MY BREEDERS ARE PINIONED... ITS CALLED STOCK RETENTION. THEY CAN FLY AS GOOD AND AS FAR AS ANY, BUT THEY ARE FAT AND LAZY SO THEY DO NOT FLUSH AS WELL OR FLY AS FAST AS MANY SMALLER STRAINS. THEY DO HOWEVER BITE MUCH HARDER THAN MOST....

Butlers usually don't flush well and don't go too far which isn't always bad. They can still fly, but they won't go far and they won't flush near as fast or often as northerns.
