Sweet Home Alabama!!
He is about 4 months old now, just starting to crow. He came from our neighbors game flock. One of the rooster chicks killed off allof the other rooster chicks in the batch. This one was horribly mamed. You could not even see his eyes. I sewed him back up...although his ear seems to be in the wrong place. He survived and that surprised us. They were just going to leave him out to die.

Anyway, What type and color is he?

Having the straight comb and yellow legs, to me its what I call a White Sport Butcher (American Game) or some call them Miner Blues.

His father looks just like him but bigger. The hens in that flock are all colors from what I would call a splash, buff, partridge, spangled. The hen that raised them may not have been his mother she was dark reddish brown tree colored. Only two other chicks both hens survived one blue mottled brown and one lite tan.
They stay here as much as at their own home. I have Silkies and a mixed flock of LF egg layers for egg color, so I dont know a lot about these birds. They do act different than my pet birds. Seem to poop more and generally do not interact with unlike breeds.
He is in with my Silkie roo and another 1/2 silkie roo (edited to say and my 10 hens) and they all ignore him. We added a game hen in for him and only they interact. Strange to me. Its like they are a complete different species.
