What type is this cockrel??

If you have never had Sebrights before you are truly in for a treat! They have so much personality (especially the roos) but expect to enjoy a LOT of crowing. They love to let you know they are there and love to be in charge. Things that are so special about him is that he has great lacing and has very nice hen feathering. One of the standards for Sebrights is that they shouldnt have the long pointed hackle feathers nor the pointed saddle feathers. Yours looks great!

When you look for some hens for him, make sure that they have the same nice lacing. By the way...your Australorps look nice as well! Ya did good my friend!!!

This is our first rooster. Bought him at the last minute although we was eyeing him all weekend. Its been one day and wow,,,the crowing . He's quarantined in the garage, which is much closer to house than the coop,, when on a roll,,he crows 6-7 times per minute. One good thing,,he's small,,so his call is not real loud.
Will be much better when in the coop. We have no neighbors close.

I'm a little worried about having a bantam rooster in with 11 regular hens. 9 golden comets and 2 australorpe's. Can he handle that???

When there's a will, there's a way. We've had different breeds of bantam roosters in with large fowl hens and they get the job done. I actually prefer them. There's less of a chance of them hurting a girl when mating, as some of the big fellas might do when they're being rough.

And, yes, he's quite a looker. I've also heard they have alot of personality and that they have alot of spunk.
