he has no feathers on his legs and when he was a chick his legs was black now they are yellow

Thank you I think he is a Birchen Maran he can be a little over protective of me and his female which i hope is a Maran too heres a pic of her.

Nope, the hen/pullet is a Black Sex Link. The off colored legs with no feathers are a dead giveaway.

Not a marans with yellow legs.... are there bichen rocks or maybe he is silver penciled?

all what i know it is pure chicken his dad is a chicken and his mom is a chicken

he's not a pure marans maybe a wheaten/birchen mix and the hen is a black sex link

He is not wheaten..... in Marans, Birchens and Coppers are the same, one is gold based and Mahogany, the other silver. Sometime people mate the two and that is how the gold will get in the birchens.

Am I missing something or could that hen not be a Marans cross too? Is she laying? What color are her eggs?
