What type of ducks

I think you would have an easier time with introducing all hens and no drakes to keep from having drake fights. Four hens to one drake is what I have been told.

Getting the chickens last year was life changing. Those girls bring us so much joy and laughter. Hoping the duckies will be the same:love.
Ducks are to funny and you will have lots of fun with them also. They are very messy as people will tell you. The large pond for when they are bigger will be a big help. Just make sure you have a predator proof coop for at night. :)

This is helpful. Maybe I should just order girls. Definitely don’t want any issues. I read that the welsh harlequin are somewhat autosexing so hopefully we really do get girls!

We are planning on a duck house. The current two don’t have anything. Hopefully they will join the girls at night later.

My Old chicken coop was Fort Knox. We disassembled it and moved it with us. We have to put it back together here. So I will wait till end of February for new ducklings. Lots of building will be going on here lol! Wanting to get my order in as I read the welshes can sell out.

You will have lots of time before Feb. to get yourself all schooled up on raising baby ducklings. Best of luck and please keep everyone posted with your new duck journey. :)

When we started our little duck adventure as having them as just pets, we didn't give much thought about them laying eggs. Duck eggs are awesome and very profitable. :woot:woot:celebrate:yesss:
