What type of flooring for chicken/duck run?

Yes i have run woth chickens and ducks together! Always been dirt! But here lately rhe ground is wearing down of course and they are digging up old busted glass! Guess its been there from way before we moved in there! Whats the best thing to put in the run? Gravel sand ect! Needing help please!

I dug out a foot of dirt. Add pea moss, sand and untreated wood chips. I have sand mixed with pea gravel around my pond.
So far no mud in the pond. I did put pavers under my cup waterer so the ducks don't make mud soup
