What type of Gamefowl are my chickens?

I don't see buttercups in the Spanish gamefowl...they look to have very large single combs that flop...but I'm no expert. The best you may be able to achieve is track down the other poster's Spanish gamefowl, Kelso, and toppie grey leads online to get more information, but I agree with that poster it may be very difficult to determine what you have from photos as there are a lot of different gamefowls, so it indeed may take some time to figure out what they may be if you want to breed them....and don't forget they could be mixes too which means they won't fit any category....and don't forget that a lot of the gamefowl roosters have dubbed (trimmed) combs so they won't necessarily fit comb profiles.

Shame on the brother for abusing them all because he didn't want to clean a coop. Glad you've gotten them. Poor hen...sounds like she was attacked by a hawk...incredible that she escaped.

Since I'm not much help, I'll give your research a start with a few more links.

No matter what they are, they have a happy home now.

Thank for the research start! I will be looking into this more when I get time. Yes the brother is not a good person. We are trying our best to take care of them. I hated putting them in a pen and coop but they were crossing the street to the pine trees and I was afraid they would get hit. I hope that when the weather gets better here I can let them out and they will come back at night to roost. We just have a temporary area up for them now but hope to make it more permanent soon before all the windy Spring weather gets here. Thank you so much for your help!

Wow are these all your birds? They are gorgeous! I just love roosters anyway but the unusual or the ones with such pretty colors are so gorgeous to me.
Thanks yes they are. I have a bunch of different types but this one is the most striking to me

Honestly there's so many breeds and sub breeds ( families ) if you will and each has it's own certain traits that really unless u know the history it's impossible to tell for certainty the breed.

OMGosh! I want one! I am in love with this rooster! LOL! What did his comb look like before it was dubbed? I don't think I could dub ours. I just love the full comb. Our Buckeye rooster's comb looks like a dubbed comb but it is I guess a pea comb. He does look sleek. Do y'all ever put fertile eggs on the auction threads?

Thanks the Lloyd miner blue which is the splash pictured above can come any color from solid any color or splash or pyle and are about half straight and half peacomb he was peacomb.

these are all miner blue. The hens are colorful too but they are dead game and they HAVE TO HAVE TO be housed individually the cocks and unless the hens were hatched and brought up together will also fight.
