I get what you mean! It does almost look slate. I leaned away from that to pick the simplest answer, but maybe better pictures will help! ☺

No worries! I had a double take too at first, but having both i sorted it out, I think I have noticed that the BLRW have darker necks and heads very often.

Thanks! That is interesting. I only have a splash BLRW so I've never seen the other 2 colors in person. I used to have a GLW but she was really bad quality so I don't use her as a reference much, lol.

Unfortunately hatchery wyandottes often lack the deep red color that BLRWs are supposed to have. I see blue feathers on her tail and wingtips, like you pointed out in your earlier post.
