Another one of my endless questions. Thank you all for all the great answers and info I get here. Anyway, when we paint the inside of the coop, is there a particular paint that is safer for the girls than others? I would like to use a tougher paint, like an enamel (to make for easier cleanup) but not if it's not good for chickens.

Pretty much any kind of outdoor house paint. If you're painting your floor too, then you'll want some porch paint put down thick.

Pretty much any kind will be fine once it's dry. Don't put the chickens in there until the paint smell has disappeared, though.

A gloss or semi gloss paint will be easier to clean.
