He is about 7 months old. If we breed him with our WCB hen would we just end up with WCB with a hint of gold or do you think we could end up with GL?

WCB with hints of gold, most likely just WCB with excess black in the crest though.

Gold Laced is made up by several genes, and requires to have them all to work. Breeding back out and away from it just makes a black-er bird.
