Our barred rock has had dirty vent feathers for a while now, and I happened to see this in her poop today.
It's thin, white, not super long, and moved quickly in a whiplike back and forth motion.
What should I treat her with? A couple have had mild dirty vent feathers but not to the degree she has had, I'm guessing I should treat everyone? I only have 4 hens.
Thanks!

Round worm. Yes, treat all of the chickens. Safeguard goat wormer works well.

Here's a caution. Since this particular hen has had visible signs of heavy infestation, she should probably have treatment for shock following the worming for a few days. Heavy worm loads can cause shock and obstruction as the worms are knocked out. A hen can die from it.

Electrolytes and sugar in the water plus a little coconut oil and/or a molasses flush a day after worming can head off serious complications.

Thank you so much!
I got Safeguard paste, and medicated all of them. I've found conflicting information...do I dose once, and then again in 10 days, or dose 5 days in a row, and then 10 days from the last dose, dose them another 5?
