What variety is on your table on Thursday?

I wanted to do Thanksgiving at home but unfortunately there been a change of plans (hubby doesn't want me slaving in the kitchen all day when Im due real soon!) so we are going to the inlaws. We are smoking up 3 turkeys and 2 hams using apple wood, pear wood, and one more type of fruit wood (don't remmy which kind, YIKE!). Green bean cassarole, home made buscuits, mashed RED potatoes (with peels, I never remove the peels, more nutrients!), Corn, Stuffings, gravy, fried okras (green beans, corn, and okras fresh from SMIL's garden. Potatoes from the local farmer market), Sweet potatoe Cassarole, Salad (everything fresh from farmer's market and SMIL's garden), Home made baked beans, devil eggs, fresh raw veggies and more that other people are bringing.

As for the deserts, you probably would DIE to know how many deserts there will be...mind you we have a traditional rule: EVERYTHIGN MUST BE HOME MADE! No box stuff either.

Cookies (chocolate chip, sugar, oatmeal, peanut butter is ALWAYS available), Red Velvet Cake (SMIL's speciality), pumpking pie, sweet potatoe pie, pecan pie, banana bread, pumpkin bread, and whatever more other people are bringing.

We always go "overboard" during thanksgiving and xmas parties.

We are having 1/2 of one of the BBW that got me hooked on raising them again next year and working to year round. Live weight tom @ 40 lbs after 4 months.

My thanksgiving lineup. All 6.5 month old heritage toms with dressed weight from 13.5 to 17 pounds. Smallest was an RP, Largest a BR and the tweeners are another BR and 1 Black Spanish. One will be smoked, packed up and go to the freezer for christmas. The RP was meatier than I expected. It is the guy with the drums pointing to the word sumo on my t-shirt.

We are having our first farm fresh turkey this year rather than store bought. Its a its a broad breasted white and its 27lbs.
I am hoping to never have to buy store bought again, now that I have found locals that raise turkeys.
I am seriously considering raising my own as well but knowing me I will end up having 20 pet turkeys and I'll end up eating grilled cheeese for the holidays.

I have two 25lb broad breasted bronzes crossed with standard bronze.

I am saving the largest for Christmas.

With the late summer hatchs I don't have anything as big as last years 70lb monsters.
