What Vegetables NOT to give to Chickens?

Wow, what a score! If you're going to feed that many veggies, you may need to supplement their protein. I'd say giving them a mix of what you have is probably healthiest.

Do you happen to have small wood chipper? I find that things like broccoli and cauliflower stems don't get devoured that quickly...I wonder if shredding them into more manageable bits would reduce waste.

No need to shred the watermellon...but might be fun to go full "Gallagher" on them! :D
40% went to neighboring farmers who have helped us with surplus. 10% approximately fed 17 goats/24 pigs/90+ chickens & 3 over stuffed turkeys.. He he.
The rest is in a score of refrigerators.
3 weeks from now it will be a 180° shift in direction. Hopefully my neighboring farmers come thru by then.

We raise pigs. They eat a lot. Pig feed cost more than pig meat for small farmers. I have friends in the food distribution industry. I give them farm raised Berkshire prime pork and I get calls on over stock of perishable goods. This by far has been the largest load. I gave to my neighboring farmers a bunch of stuff and in turn they will return the good gesture down the road when I am in need. Barter and close nit neighbor farmers help each other thru the thick and thin.
It was Thanksgiving for my colossal breeder pigs today. A week from now they will be on rations.
We have friends who own a small brewery. They give us distillery grain and we keep their bbqs smoking.
Nice to have friends in favorable places.
Chickens enjoyed the treats. They shacked up early tonight. The 20 dozen eggs and pork sausage I have traded worked out really nicely this time.:)

Love it!
I had no idea---just thought you were overloaded with veggies!
