40% went to neighboring farmers who have helped us with surplus. 10% approximately fed 17 goats/24 pigs/90+ chickens & 3 over stuffed turkeys.. He he.Wow, what a score! If you're going to feed that many veggies, you may need to supplement their protein. I'd say giving them a mix of what you have is probably healthiest.
Do you happen to have small wood chipper? I find that things like broccoli and cauliflower stems don't get devoured that quickly...I wonder if shredding them into more manageable bits would reduce waste.
No need to shred the watermellon...but might be fun to go full "Gallagher" on them!![]()
The rest is in a score of refrigerators.
3 weeks from now it will be a 180° shift in direction. Hopefully my neighboring farmers come thru by then.
