What was the temp today were you are, it was a lovely 70 here

Rain and in the low 40's. It might snow later tonight. The chickens are fine, the dogs are warm in their dog house and the goats are fine except for the billy goat who is chained to the far side of the barn (he can go in and out of the run-in-shed and has food and water). he has taken to beating up the wether and not letting him eat. And he attacked me the other day and has been peeing on his face so much you can smell him from the driveway. I hope he stops acting like a butt soon. He just turned a year in Oct. and was a sweet baby but he has problems now. He has good size horns too ... he's a Kiko.

In the low 20's overnight but went up to 32 a dawn then got all the way up to 38 by noon before sleet/snow/freezing rain hit. Chickens loved it--were out all day.

About 9F with a -10 wind chill.. Lakes are iced up for the next 4+ months.. Yep it is winter, it is likely we will not thaw out until mid April now.

Which is actually fine with us.. There is beauty in winter were the snow is fluffy and light, and never goes away. No yucky mash potato snow and sleet.. Just deep squeaky, fluffy powder for the most part.. Rarely daytime time temps above 25 F until mid Mid March.. Yep winter in the Wisconsin Northwoods..

I bet you southerners do not even know what squeaky snow is....

I just can't imagine what it would be like to live where it gets so cold. Our high was 83F today but were getting a cold front tonight (thank goodness). I think our high tomorrow is supposed to be about 60F.

I do not even think we got above 90 F for one day last summer...matter of fact once in a blue moon does it get above 90.

We melt at 90 and need to escape to lake Superior which is generally a ice box even in summer...

When it is cold you can always put more cloths on to stay warm... When it is hot you can only get so naked and you are still hot...

Hot. AC was running full blast and half the crowd ate outside at picnic tables. Tomorrow will need a fire going as a front is coming through and the temps will drop about 30 or 40 degrees by morning.
