I vote Heron, but I havent completely ruled out the Mothman

Every time I'm outside alone after dark, I always hear noises, and it's almost always a zombie. Those things scare the $*&^ outta me.
Anyway, I would guess heron, because they always steal the pretty fish out of those nice ponds, but do they hunt at night? Maybe it had rabies....

Boy it sounds like I live in a rough neighborhood, all sorts of creatures here. I kept an eye out last night and no sign of anything in the yard.
At the moment there is a large flock of black capped chickadees in the yard. Am I in danger?

Guess I'll never figure it out unless it comes back. I'll be watching. I'm on vacation this week so I can be more observant. I'll post if I see anything natural or supernatural.

my eyes are still saying eagle
my ears are still saying owl and
my brain says heron

Well she could be right, it could be flying zombies. I've hear they come out more frequently in months with R.

If it were Vampires it would follow the no months with R pattern.

My money is on free ranging Poltergeist’s…

You're right that's funny. Somehow I missed that post.

Had another thought. Seattle is known as the Emerald city. Maybe the winged monkeys from Oz came home.

Imp- Seattle used to be known as the queen city. not so sure about that.
