Oh, now I need to go measure mine! My Delaware, new to laying, was averaging 1.8 oz eggs until yesterday. Her egg was 3.5 oz. And it's heavy. I keep picking it up and looking at it. Amazing! Can't wait to see if it's a double yolker tomorrow morning!
We had one so big that I took it around with me just to show people! Hahahaha! I accidentally left it at my sister's house one day and then frantically called her to tell her NOT to eat it!!!!! I don't have a picture, sorry! It wasn't bigger than any of these others here but we were very proud. This is our first flock.
76 grams, almost 4 inches long, it had a double yolk. The normal size/weight for my girls' eggs is 53-58 grams, a large egg. We know this one was not from our Jersey Giant, but don't know which of the other girls layed it!
Ours was 3.78 ounces from our ISA brown, she's a giver, she gives pretty large eggs regularly! This is with a quarter on one side and a large egg on the other. Then I added one of our smaller ones.
