Just got my first big egg, weighed in at 82gms, most eggs I've been getting have been around ~40gms. Can't wait to crack it open!

Not bad for hens that have only been laying a few weeks.

4.6 ounces according to postal scales at our local p.o,,about a month ago from a golden comet but it was only a single yolk

Most double yolkers if hatched have only 1 survive. But there are a few posts on here of surviving twins. Of course they are not identicle but they are twins all the same. Identicle would require the single egg deviding into two seperate life forms. We all know thats not how chickens work. There are just 2 yolks that get trapped into 1 shell. Unfortunately there is almost always only 1 air cell in an egg. plus the limited amount of room already!! But YES you can have both hatch and live!

Good Luck and God Bless!
