Turns out I was wrong about what I was hatching, though...they looked like RIR but the owner didn't know. Turns out they were Golden Comet hybrids. Never heard of this breed before but I am not a chicken guru. Interesting hatch, I had four types of chicks...one black, all the rest yellow with one with stripes, one feather-footed and one fuzzy-crowned one. The yellows started out with a reddish tint but changed quickly! And they had feathers starting by one week old! They are now in their new home to make room for the new bunch when they hatch.
