What was your worst job?

How many years ago was that?

You made me think about another job I had while I was in college. I was in school for vet med tech and this lawyer posted a help wanted sign on one of the bulletin boards at school. It was for animal care for his dogs and wolf hybrids, as well as general housekeeping. Well, the animal care part was pretty good, but the housekeeping part was pretty bad since the couple I worked for were absolute slobs. Still, I got along with them and enjoyed the wife's company, since she was in her early 20s and I was 19. She was very pregnant with their first child so I would try to help her out as much as I could. They had a basement apartment they eventually offered to rent to me. It was a good deal cheaper than where I was living and, since I worked for them, I thought it would be great to live there too. Everything was okay, at first. I'd eat dinner with them sometimes and one night the husband (who was probably in his late 30s or early 40s) said he wanted to talk to me about something. Then he proceeded to tell me that he and and his wife had an open marriage and he basically came right out and asked if I would sleep with him, with his wife's blessing.

I remember having to sit down after the words came out of his mouth. Needless to say, I moved out of there ASAP! Creep!

HOLEY MOLEY! That is awful! What has this world come to? Stuff like that really scares me....... What is up with the whole open marraige thing? What couple in this world would knowingly allow their spouse to cheat on them and be ok with it?

I know! And the wife was standing right there when he propositioned me!

delivering news papers at 3 a-frickin-m in the morning

one morning wasnt paying attention speeding thru a parking lot at dark and hit one of those concrete islands i was airborne and when i hit the ground 2 flat tires and a bent rim

no one got the paper that morning and i never delivered papers again


ot it could be the egotistical boss i worked for at an import co when i was 23 and he called me stupid on a daily basis well after i got pregnant and my hormones were raging i told him where he can shove his job with his stupid a..

I would say working on a casing crew. Thats where you you run surface pipe into a well to keep salt water out of the fresh water table. Or run long string casing after the rig just finished drilling the hole and it was going to make a well. People from non oil producing states may not understand what this is. It was very good money when the boom is going on. It is 24 hour a day call. You may be out for a day and a half and get home and 6 hours later get called back out. Or you may go several days without any work. When the boom is on 100 hour or more weeks are common. The reason I say this was my worst job was because you could not plan any thing. ( I got into trouble for going to see my grandmother for Christmas I wasnt home to answer the phone. ) And most of the people I worked with were crank heads.

I turned coat sleeves inside out to be stitched at a factory one summer when i was 16, The boss made a pass at me , i told everyone immediately , loudly and was layed off within the hour. Scum Bag!

ooh i almost forgot about the job I had one spring planting beach grass to hold back erosion at horseneck beach. You don't want to be anywhere near the Atlantic Ocean in March darn cold and the wind would go right through you.

almost 7 years ago.... she'd be about 10 now. It was incredibly creepy.

I cannot imagine being approached by some creepy guy like that. What woman i nher right mind, with a child, would be in an open relationship. *shudders* That is horrific. All I had to do was run away- you had to MOVE! UGH!​

THere's a huge underground paedophile ring in this world, and a lot of the perps are high powered politicians, businessmen and police. Have you heard about the whole mess in the UK right now? There is a media blackout about it, the government threatened to back out on advertising to any newspaper that ran the articles about it. I've been pretty outraged for days after hearing how it has been hush hushed. There is a lot where this comes from... this is not an isolated case. Well the whole story is that about a week before I took the job I had a dream about three little girls, and one of them drowning in a pond, and the parents accusing me of molesting them. It was a horrible dream, but it passed and I didnt think anything of it. We were getting married in the midst of all this, so a lot of stuff slipped my mind. Then with this job it was like all these little things kept coming up- firs the was home all morning upstairs with her. She would cry constantly. Her little butt was raw red- not her but cheeks, but her bum. Her mom said she had a rectal growth issue- which was why she couldnt potty train her. Then it dawned on me how crazy the bedroom set up was. The 18 year old brother was upstairs with the parents, baby, and 8 year old- yet the toddler was downstairs off the garage? And then at one point the toddler feel out of a bar stool and bumped her head and the brother tried to comfort her- but she wouldnt let him touch her- only me- that was the FIRST DAY she met me.

I was afraid to report anything... he took my truck for 24 hours. He insisted he needed to see my license, wanted to know if I had an email address and what it was.

The other scary part was that SHE was the 20 year secretary of the state attorney, and they worked closely with the office that he was a detective in. Actually I think it was on the same floor in the same building.

Another really odd thing was that the inlaws lived next door, she was young, wanted to watch the kids, but they hired me instead....

The whole thing was just absolutely scary. I was so afraid when I left that he planted something in my truck- I tore it apart months later but couldnt find anything.

I was only 19. And just too afraid to report it.
