What went wrong

Your humidity had to be off target. Keep it close to 85-90% the last 2-3 days by adding more water. Days 1-18 can be kept at 45-50% ,thick shelled eggs, such as the FBCM, can be kept near 35% humidity and then upped the last few days. This has been my experience though I'm far from expert. Sometimes we'll never know why some chicks just die in the shell for no apparent reason. The only thing I noticed from the video was that the zip line looked a little low on the egg. What breed egg was this? Did you monitor your air cell growth throughout incubation? Did you calibrate a separate thermometer and hygrometer for accurate readings?
