Glad to hear that you had success cooking the younger bird! I have four Royal Palm turkeys in the brooder now and am reading up to see when they might be ready.

I think if I had one over a year old, I'd just cook it long and slow in the crock pot and use it for dog food. That's what I do with any older chickens, since we are so spoiled with the delicious, meaty, 9 to 11 week old Freedom Rangers.
