I had an order for 2 female hybrid sex link chicks from a lady who wanted them for her daughters birthday. I set 12 Rhode island red x Light sussex eggs thinking I could sell the excess girls easily. All 12 went into lockdown. I heard cheeping coming from the incubator this morning and could see 5 little yellow boys running around cheeping away. 11 have hatched now all male

I usually get a 50/50. I'm leaving the other egg a little longer but I'm not holding out much hope, lol

Yes they were from my sister and thats all she has, I've hatched from hers a few times before but never all boys ,lol

Ummm, I may be wrong, but sex-links don't breed true to throwing sex-link chicks. They're not a breed of and by themselves but a cross-breed; the original cross produces the sex-linked colors.

The parents are pure breeds the chicks are Bovan goldlines ( not sure if the name is the same in the US )
